چکیده
Introduction: Burn infections are a serious obstacle to the patient’s recovery. Infection is estimated account for 75% of burn patient mortality. Widespread and often indiscriminate administration antibiotics lack basic infection control methods major factors in emergence drug-resistant bacteria. Due growing threat antibiotic resistance, interest silver compounds has grown modern medicine. Objectives: The aim this descriptive study was evaluate frequency sil genes its phenotypic expression Pseudomonas aeruginosa Acinetobacter baumannii isolates isolated from ward Imam Khomeini hospital Urmia. Patients Methods: P. (n=16) A. (n=32) were collected wound samples an 8-month period August March 2017 hospital. minimum inhibitory concentration nitrate on clinical determined using microdilution method. presence silP, silE silS resistance investigated by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results: results (MIC) test showed that 62.5% (n = 10) 56.25% 18) MIC above 512 mg/ml. Polymerase revealed only one isolate had gene among isolates, 20 six gene. None positive silP Conclusion: Based results, most common microorganism wounds our This high degree which also observed some isolates.

Antibiotic Resistance Patterns and Molecular Typing of Acinetobacter Baumannii Strains Isolated from Burn Patients in Iran
Background and Aims: Acinetobacter baumannii (A. baumannii) is an important multidrug-resistant opportunistic pathogen frequently causing various nosocomial infections and is a serious threat to burn patients. These infections are usually caused by the outbreak strains. The aim of this study was to show antibiotic resistance pattern and molecular typing of A. baumannii genes isolates collected ...

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a leading cause of bum infections, and antibiotic- resistant strains of this bacterium are emerging due to extensive application of antibiotics in the bum unit of hospitals. In this study 50 strains of P. aeruginosa were isolated from bum patients infected with this micro-organism in the bum unit of a general hospital in Kerman, Iran over one year [May 1999-ApriI20...
متن کاملEmergence of Ciprofloxacin Resistance Among Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolated from Burn Patients
Background: Increasing resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to ciprofloxacin in ICU/burn units has created a problem in the treatment of infections caused by this microorganism. Methods: Fifty P. aeruginosa strains were isolated from burn patients hospitalized in the Kerman Hospital during May 1999-April 2000 and were tested for in-vitro sensitivity to different antibiotics by disc diffusion br...
متن کاملDrug resistance analysis of bacterial strains isolated from burn patients.
This study aimed to analyze the spectrum and drug resistance of bacteria isolated from burn patients to provide a reference for rational clinical use of antibiotics. Up to 1914 bacterial strain specimens isolated from burn patients admitted to hospital between 2001 and 2010 were subjected to resistance monitoring by using the K-B paper disk method. Retrospective analysis was performed on drug r...
متن کاملInducible Clindamycin Resistance among Staphylococci Isolated from Burn Patients
Clindamycin has been used successfully to treat pneumonia and soft-tissue infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. However, inducible clindamycin resistance has been described as a cause of treatment failure of such infections. A total of 159 staphylococcal isolates from different clinical specimens from burn patients in Tripoli Burn Center were tested for inducible cli...
